(CBS News) Tyler Perry has thanked firefighters who responded to a fire that broke out at his Atlanta studio Tuesday.

The actor/director/producer released a statement via his publicist Wednesday, praising the fire department for its quick response.

“Atlanta firefighters responded immediately to a fire which damaged the backlot facade of one of the buildings at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta,” the statement said, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “We are grateful that there were no injuries, and that 99 percent of the damage is limited to the backlot facade. Mr. Perry wishes to express his heartfelt thanks to the Atlanta fire department for their professionalism in their quick response and limiting the damage.”

More than 100 firefighters responded to the four-alarm blaze Tuesday night, according to reports. There were no reports of injuries.

Atlanta Fire Department Capt. Jolyon Bundrige told the Journal-Constitution the fire damaged the building’s exterior but never got inside, though the interior did suffer some water damage. Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire.
